Install Claude Superpowers on Windows, macOS, or Linux.

Choose the beginner-friendly installer or use Claude Code's official plugin CLI. Both routes install Superpowers from the official Claude plugin marketplace.

Before you install Superpowers

You need Claude Code available on your computer. Open Terminal, PowerShell, or Command Prompt and run:

claude --version

If you see a Claude Code version, continue below. If the command is not found, install Claude Code from Anthropic's official setup page first.

Why the prerequisite matters

The installer on this site does not replace Claude Code. It uses the existing Claude CLI to request the Superpowers plugin from the official marketplace.

Method 1: download the Claude Superpowers installer

This is the easiest option if you want the installation journey to start directly from ClaudeSuperpowers.com.

Windows

Download the CMD installer, open it, and let Claude Code install the plugin to your user scope.

Download the shell installer and run it with Bash from your Downloads folder.

Method 2: install Superpowers with one CLI command

Claude Code supports non-interactive plugin management. For a normal personal installation, run:

claude plugin install superpowers@claude-plugins-official --scope user

The user scope makes the plugin available across your projects. You can also choose a project or local scope if that better matches your setup.

claude plugin install superpowers@claude-plugins-official --scope user

Method 3: install inside an interactive Claude Code session

If Claude Code is already open, use the slash-command form:

/plugin install superpowers@claude-plugins-official

Verify the Claude Superpowers plugin

First, list installed plugins:

claude plugin list

Then start a fresh Claude Code session in a real project and try a request such as:

Help me plan this feature before writing code. Ask the questions you need, propose the design, and wait for the plan to be clear before implementation.

Update Superpowers later

claude plugin update superpowers@claude-plugins-official --scope user

Uninstall Superpowers

claude plugin uninstall superpowers@claude-plugins-official --scope user

If you installed the plugin at project or local scope, use that same scope when removing it.

Alternative upstream marketplace

The Superpowers project also publishes its own marketplace. This is useful when you intentionally want the upstream distribution route rather than the Claude official marketplace.

Plugins can contain skills, hooks, agents, and other components. Review sources you install. The installers offered here are short text scripts and use Claude Code's marketplace install command instead of shipping a modified Superpowers package.
